Drivewear lens technology
Human eye is a wonderful instrument designed to collect visual information. Transitions Drivewear lenses maximize the eye’s natural abilities in different light conditions and various day time activities.

Low Light Conditions
High contrast yellow/green colour
At the overcast conditions Drivewear lenses allow maximum light to reach the eye. The high contrast polarizer eliminates the blinding glare maximizing the visual acuity. All this enhnces the perfomance of the visual receptors improving visibility even during the driving in severe wether. At this stage Drivewear lenses have contrast enhancing yellow/green colour and light absorbtion is 65%.
Bright light
Behind the car windshield
Copper color
Car windshield blocks UV rays that activate standard photochromic molecules. Instead newly developed Transitions photochromic molecules can respond to bright visible light. Then, the color changes to copper and light absorbtion increases to 78%. The lenses still block blinding glare and provide visual comfort for the driver.

Dark brown color
Outside of the car the lens is also exposed to UV light which activates the third Transitions photohromic layer. Due to this the color changes to dark brown and light absorbtion increases further to 88%.
